Dear WCA Family,

On behalf of the WCA Board, we are praying that all of you are well.  We are confident that God will provide a way through these challenging times for all of us. He has blessed WCA in so many ways over the years.

Please allow us to give you an update on several items of interest.

The Administration and Staff are to be commended for jumping in immediately to provide lesson assignments for home study. That will remain on-going as long as we are away.

Staff will be paid the remainder of their contract as normal. WCA has applied for the Paycheck Protection Program provided by the Federal government. We believe that our staff is vital to our long-term success.

Tuition for April & May     Mail to:  WCA    P.O. Box 715    Winchester, TN 37398

Pre-school Program (2’s,3’s,4’s) will not be charged for April and May. If you paid in full for the year, you have two options: 1) make a “tax-exempt donation” or 2) receive a credit toward next year’s tuition.

Elementary/Middle School  tuition will be reduced by 50% for April and May. If you need additional time, we have extended the time to receive payments until June 30th. If you paid in full for the year, you have two options: 1) make a “tax-exempt donation” or 2) receive a credit toward next year’s tuition.

Grading for the 5th and 6th six-week periods will be as follows:

5th six-weeks – actual classroom time spent before break (3/4) and time spent at home on homework (1/4).

6th six-weeks-Grades will be based upon homework assignments completed and communication with teachers. Parents please be pro-active as teachers seek to accomplish their commitment to your student’s education.

Be assured common sense will be used where difficulties exist to complete this work.

Applications/registrations for the Fall 2020 school year have been received, however, some have not paid. To insure your student’s classroom assignment, we need to receive this fee by May 1st. We need everyone to confirm their student’s intent (by name) for the Fall by email (wcaoffice@wcaedu.net) or text (931-308-0942) by May 1st. This will be most beneficial as we plan classroom space, order textbook and classroom materials, and teacher positions for the fall.  Preschool $140   PreK-8th $175

Athletic teams (cross country, basketball, bowling, tennis and soccer) are still being planned for the 2020-2021 school year. Additionally, “co-op” agreements will be requested with North and South Middle schools for those sports of interest that we will not be offering in 2020-2021.

Future events will be planned as soon as we receive the “all clear”, i.e., Carnival, fundraisers, sports tryouts, Spring Formal.

We will continue to monitor the situation in each of these areas and look forward to being back together as the WCA Family as soon as possible.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Phil 4: 6-7)

May God Continue To Bless You,

WCA Board
